This landmark home in Flagstaff is listed on the National Historic Register. It is the original home of the Babbitt family and Arizona Governor and Secretary of the Interior, Bruce Babbitt. Originally built in the 1920s, the Babbitt family added the 2nd story sometime in the 1940s. Located near the top of what was called Nob Hill, just a few hundred yards from all the action of historic downtown Flagstaff, the home has unusually large and spacious rooms for its day. The owner has recently completed renovations (June 2015) including new furnishings, beds, linens; replacement of all 42 windows with sound-proof, energy-efficient windows; Dyson fans for each room, a 65" 3D TV in the living area with DirecTV, Showtime and HBO as well as XBox and PS4; a formal dining room with seating for 12; a game room/parlor for poker, board games, puzzles, etc.; kitchen with new motion-sensing lighting and faucet, new refrigerator, new induction cooktop and dual oven with warming drawer; new steam washer and steam dryer; new landscaping in the front and side yards with almost 30 new blue spruce and aspen trees. Near the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and the Painted Desert.
